Project Coordinator and Experimental Pathology Scientist

Role Summary

Responsible for the operation and coordination of pre-clinical projects. Perform systematic histopathological processing of biological tissue samples using Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Immunofluorescence (IF), and related techniques. Tasks include routine tissue collection, sectioning, staining, and digital slide scanning.

Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the operation and coordination of pre-clinical projects, including sample management, sample delivery and communication between different sites
  2. Execute histopathological procedures in alignment with the pathology supervisor’s work schedule and experimental protocol requirements. Conduct comprehensive tissue processing workflows, including tissue collection, embedding, dehydration, sectioning, staining, and digital slide scanning
  3. Perform experimental material preparation and method exploration according to study protocols and principal investigator requirements
  4. Reception and statistics of experimental pathological samples, as well as sorting and archiving of pathological section blocks

Requirements

  1. Bachelor or above degree, educational background in Veterinary Pathology, Laboratory Medicine, Medicine, Biology, Immunology or a related field
  2. 1-3 years of hands-on experience in a pathology laboratory; Prior experience in laboratory animal pathology research is strongly preferred
  3. Proficient in mastering the production process of pathological sections and various conventional staining methods for pathological sections
  4. Exhibits a proactive and Detail-oriented approach to work with timely communication, and strong accountability
  5. Excellent collaborative skills and strong learning agility; demonstrated ability to proactively support team objectives and quickly acquire proficiency in new tasks and laboratory techniques
